Protect your Victorian boots with these almost-new chocolate brown color spats...A rare example of spats from the late Victorian to Edwardian period. They come in what we would call chocolate color (but are marked 'bronze') silk satin exterior, with a lovely felty wool lining on the interior. They are trimmed all the way around with a lively bronze colored trim and are fastened with 14 tiny buttons made of composite plastic (?) on metal shanks. Both spats also still retain their original maker's labels that read '4300, Extra quality Standard, 4, Bronze'. Their overall condition is excellent with a few worn spots at the edgings/trim, piercing holes through the upper leg and one small area of moth damage (last pic).Measurements:- 9.5" height from cuff to bottom strap- 4" across ankle - 4 3/8" across upper cuff - 8" across bottom spat section
