Edwardian/Victorian Glittering Silver Ornate Cut Steel Belt Buckle$40.00
Adorn yourself in glittering, silvery steel with this antique buckle...
These steel bead buckles became very popular during the end of the 19th century, and it easy to see why: not only are they gorgeous pieces of work, with their subtle sparkle, but they are also super-duper sturdy! Despite being an open design, with a lot of cut away areas, this buckle is quite stiff and strong, not malleable at all. Each 12-sided steel cut bead is secured into the framework. There is a thin bar on the underside marked 'Made in France' with two small slats for securing onto a belt or sash (or these were sometimes fashioned into clips). Overall excellent to like new condition with no flaws to note and little to no signs of wear.
