Lovely little vintage capelet from the turn of the last century, circa late 1800s or early 1900s, I believe. Black, and in what I suspect is curly lamb. I don't know much about furs so forgive me if thats not correct, its something similar at least. Lined in quilted black cotton and there is some wool batting inside as well. No label. Pretty much one size fits most I'd say. Has a hook near the throat but no coordinating eye on the other side. However, there are are no indications that one was ever there and there are plenty of little loops in the fur along the edge so perhaps its meant to go there.

Excellent vintage condition, especially given its age. The only thing I spotted was some areas where the fur has worn. See photo for an example though it was hard to photograph well. And one area on the bottom hem that needs to be restitched.
