Silveroin
Edwardian/Victorian Art Nouveau Decor Silver Repousse Nail Buffer$89.00
"Silveroin"! Have you ever heard of it? This was a trade name for a non-silver alloy used by the Bristol Mfg. Company of Attleboro, Massachusetts from 1895-1915, so now you know how old this really is. So, "Silveroin" is NOT sterling silver, even though those who haven't done proper research will call it that...!
Art Nouveau to the MAX! Just look at that Repousse work, which includes the perfunctory pretty lady face and flowers (which were not easy to photograph because they are under the handle). This was and still is, a nail buffer. Ladies of this era were less likely to wear "nail varnish", so instead they just buffed their nails to a natural shine. Nowadays, best for display on your antique vanity.
This is a masterpiece with amazing detail. I have taken good well-lit pictures that enlarge well, so you can see tiny details. PLEASE look at ALL photos where the small flaws are evident.
It's on the vanity with all the other vintage and antique vanity items sold here. Most home items sold here vanity items and they are all on a (not-so-antique-but-very-retro) vanity. See last photo
