This is a chic simple antique, most likely, a Victorian black wool cape. The cape is almost a full circle and is unlined except for the font edges which are lined in black silk satin. The cape has a collar that is trimmed in a double ruffle of black silk and a large bow that drapes down the front. It fastens only at the neck with a hook and eye and falls to the wrist in length.

Condition:
The cape is in good condition overall with only a few small flaws to note. There is some fraying to the silk bow on the font. The hook and eye is also missing and it is quite large so I was unable to replace it. The cape is still a fun and wearable piece and is ready to find a new home.
