Turn of the century elegance! This incredible pink bodice from the Edwardian era features a uniquely shaped collar scattered with beautiful, hand-painted flowers. The bodice is made of shiny pink fabric with vertical stripes. It has smocking on the shoulders, though this is mostly hidden by the collar. The silhouette is billowy and likely would’ve been tucked into a skirt to achieve the monobreast look that was popular in the 1890s and 1900s.

Closes with two sets of hooks and eyes at the chest — the rest would’ve been kept in place by tucking into a skirt.

Condition: Very good for its age. However, I noted several scattered small brown stains. See photos. Due to its age, I have not attempted to launder this piece.

Wearable with extreme care, but also beautiful for display or study.

Sizing note: Measurements are somewhat approximate since there are only two closures. I measured flat with overlap in the front as it fell naturally. Despite the larger waist size, this is best for an XS due to the narrow shoulders.
