Edwardian Antique Victorian/edwardian Black Cape with Trim

This antique cape is absolutely STUNNING! This is one of those very special antique pieces that checks all the boxes: It is in great condition, it's a wearable size, and style-wise it is brimming with possibility to be incorporated into a modern wardrobe. It's just as beautiful and functional as it was in the 1890s or early 1900s when it was made.

This cape is made of two layers of a thick, warm material lined with a smooth and shiny fabric on the inside. The top layer is embellished with three lines of lovely trim, all in black. It is secured at the neck with four sturdy hook-and-eye closures.

Condition: This is in amazing condition for something dating back to the Victorian or Edwardian period. The lining is detached from the hem for about four inches on the bottom left side. There's another place on the center of the back where the lining has a 1-inch tear at a seam. These flaws aren't visible when the cape is worn and could likely be fixed with a few stitches. (Please note: due to its age, I have not attempted to launder this piece.)

This cape fits most sizes, but check your measurements just in case to make sure it'll fall the way you want:

Width at neck: 15 inches

Width at bottom: 109 inches

Length: 23 inches
