Vintage crewel embroidered open top tote or handbag. Burlap fabric embroidered with brown and teal flower designs. Interior is a khaki duck fabric with a zipper compartment and a open side pocket which is also embroidered. Bottom is flat and firm while the sides plus the wide handle are unstructured.

Many of these bags were handmade but I'm assuming not all. I can't definitely say this one was handmade but if it was the construction is excellent.

It is in excellent condition.

Body measures 10 1/4 x 12 x 3 1/2 inches. The handle is 3 1/2 x 15 inches. It is fairly large for a handbag but would be excellent if you wanted to carry a tablet or small laptop.
