30s/40s Cotton Wrapper House Dress$238.00
I have to admit that this dress is a bit of a mystery to me. It looks like a cross between a mother hubbard wrapper and a house dress of the late 1910s/ early 20s, but the marrowed seams, hem tape and elastic waist point to later. (Although the hem tape is quite worn and does look like the 30s/ 40s quality. )
Fabricated in a black printed cotton with a ditsy print.
Fastens all the way down center front with plastic buttons.
Features a peter pan collar
Body shirred into rounded front yoke.
3/4 length sleeves
There were 3 rows of elastic in the waist that had completely lost their stretch. I have replaced the top and bottom rows.
Very long self belt attached at side seam.
Interior seams have marrow finish
There are inseam set pockets.
Hem is finished with hem tape.
