Vintage Christian children Books, 4 books, religious books The first is "Children's Prayers," first edition 1950 by Lucy Gray Kendall is a sweet little book with verses for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and more. The verses describe God's world of bringing calm security and peace to boys and girls. The verses are lovely and easy to recite. The book is in VG condition.

The second book is "Old Testament Stories", 1938 by Lillie A. Faris is a Library edition. It takes the stories of the bible and adjusts it to children under 12. There are 27 stories including Noah and The Ark, A Coat of Many Colors, Abraham, and Isaac. There are some beautifully colored illustrations. The book is in good condition. The binding on the bottom outside has worn off, but it does not affect the inside binding.

The third book is Charles Dickens, "A Christmas Carol," is a first edition from 1939 and Whitman Publishing. This softcover book with beautiful color drawings is in good/vg condition. The front cover has a little bit of fray on the very edges of the front cover and the back has a small piece missing at the top and a little tear on the middle edge. The pages are unmarked and not bent but a couple of pages, at the very end have small tears. The book has 96 pages. The colors are vibrant.

The last book is, "The Fireside Book Of Christmas Stories,"1945 first edition, by the Bobbs-Merrill Company publishing. This hardcover book has no dust jacket and is in vg condition. There is a name and date in ink on the inside page, but the pages are clean and not bent. The binding is strong and the spine has some fray on the top and bottom edges. It is a cumulative collection of Christmas stories written by various authors such as Dickens, Irving, Alcott, and Moore, among others. The stories were edited by Edward Wagenknecht
