Beautiful deeply carved and lacquered wood trinket or jewelry box. There is a scene on the top with a woman in a red and yellow dress. I wish I knew more about this box, but it has no markings. It was found in an estate with several other items from the 1950's and 1960's, so I'm assuming it comes from that era as well, but it may not. It's a very nice old box, however, and is in very good condition. It may have some wear, but minimal if any.
