The bison or American Buffalo is revered by many Tribes. Some see it as a symbol of strength and endurance. This necklace features an array of bison fetishes (small carvings typically made for ceremonial purposes.) The creator made use of turquoise, spiny oyster shell, mother of pearl, onyx, and a variety of natural stones.

Condition: Excellent condition, there appear to be no missing beads. One bison is missing the very tip of its front toe but that seems to be due to the natural stone, not damage. Tarnished clasp, overall a lovely and beautiful hand carved piece.
