Jean Muir, (1928-1995) was a British designer known for creating comfortable yet stylish clothing that is very popular on the vintage market. This oversized, 1980s open "coatigan" is 100% lambswool knit made in Scotland. It has padded shoulders, wide wale ribbed knit edging all around, great big patch pockets, and huge, wedge-shaped sleeves that taper down to long, ribbed knit cuffs. They would be considered dolman, or "batwing," sleeves if the sweater had actual shoulder seams. My favorite part of this sweater are the really, really big pockets! No size label is present, so we are estimating it to be a size 8-10. Please refer to the measurements for additional guidance regarding actual size.
