Edwardian Blue Silk Dress with Bishop Sleeves$310.00
Circa 1903.
Two pieces, a shirt-waist and skirt. The shirt-waist has a cotton lining and inner bodice that fastens with hooks and eyes down the center front. The outer silk later of the shirt-waist is looser and fastens with hooks and eyes.
Skirt has hook and eye closures at the back, is lined with the same black cotton, and the hem is lined with blue velvet.
There are button holes around the collar for attaching a high collar.
See last photo for an image of similar sleeves/shirt-waist styles from a 1903 issue of The Delineator magazine.

+++ Condition +++
This is a really lovely dress, wonderful for study, display, or inspiration/pattern-making.
The lining of the bodice and skirt are in really wonderful condition.
Condition overall is very good for her age with a few flaws to note:
* Some stress tears in the silk around the waistband of the skirt
* Some wear/fraying to the silk around the collar
* A bit of color fading in some areas
I would not recommend it for regular wear, but it likely could be worn with extra care for a photoshoot if desired. The silk is still very soft and not dried out.
