Navy Blue and White Circles 50’s Cotton Dress$80.00
Cheerios or doughnuts? Whichever breakfast item you prefer, the circular print on this 1950s cotton dress is cute! The design of white and green, hollow-centered circles on a navy blue background is echoed by the half-circular loops of print fabric used to trim the white piqué bib collar and the diagonal pockets. A narrow band of white piqué fabric encircles the high neckline, ending in a tiny bow at the back of the neck. The dress has cap sleeves and a full, flaring skirt, below the fitted waist seam. Although belt loops are present, the original belt is missing a plain white belt would look great! The lightweight cotton print fabric is unlined. Unusually, the dress fastens at the left side seam, not with a zipper, but with an inverted pleat and a single button (see photo). This true vintage, full-skirted 1950s cotton dress is in almost-excellent condition, the only thing to note a couple loose stitches at the waistband (see close-up photo of right-hand pocket).
