Lucky you, to wear this fabulous R & M Richards by Karen Kwong purple velvet blazer with a gold metallic linear design. Made in USA, it is a true statement jacket. Tunic length, the fabric is 90% Polyester and 10% Spandex, which makes it beautifully stretchy. Five front hook type buttons are ornamental as well as functional. At each side of the hemline 6 and 1/2 inch side slits mean it will fit well at your hip line.

Please use the un-stretched measurements below to assure your best fit. Sizing has changed over the decades and varies from designer to designer, so please do not go by the listed size.

Shoulder to shoulder is 16 and 1/2 inches.
Sleeve length is 23 inches.
Armhole opening is 22 inches.
Bust size is 40 inches, not stretched and there is Spandex stretch in this fabric.
Full length is 30 inches.
Hemline width is 45 inches.

The pattern continues on both the front and back sides, plus the full length sleeves.

As you can see, it is in Excellent Vintage Condition. As my model said, with the addition of 10% Spandex in the fabric, it is so comfortable to wear.

Because this is from the 1980's, there are light internal shoulder pads attached at the top inside seam. Those could be easily removed if you prefer a more natural shoulder line.

There are no stains, odors, holes or unraveling anywhere. All of the front hooks are intact. The cuffs, neckline and underarms are clean.
