Classic in style, this St. John Collection by Marie Gray Knit set has 2 pieces; a tunic length button front V-neckline blazer and a slim below knee length skirt. Beige in color, it is a chic versatile outfit for any season. A hint of thin metallic gold thread is in this knit, which you can easily play up with metallic accessories. The famous santana knit fabric has a built-in stretch and comfort, with the added quality of resisting wrinkles and bagging.

Six small bronze tone buttons line the front of this V-neckline tunic length blazer. Those can be fully buttoned, partially buttoned or left unbuttoned to wear this open front style.

In addition to the elastic waist, there is a side zipper with this skirt. Notice the front darts, which mean this skirt has a flat fit front. There is a 10 inch side slit, accented with a top button that is the same as the buttons on the blazer.

Both the blazer and skirt are the classic SJK slim front style, with no pockets.

This set is too large for my model, so it is clipped in back for purposes of these photos.

Either of these SJK pieces can be worn with other items in your wardrobe, even those are not St. John Knits. The St. John Knit beige is a traditional neutral color that coordinates well with gold, red, black, white, tan, brown and many other colors.

Most lovers of St. John Knits probably know how this famous designer founded her company in 1962 knitting her own original designs, which her then boyfriend immediately sold to high-end department stores. Over time the look of her famous santana knits was easily identified and immediately popular with those who want style that is timeless, traditional and elegant.
