This is an incredible stunning gown by famed designer Mr. Blackwell. The dress is made of beautiful black shantung silk. The dress has a gorgeous silhouette. The dress has a square neckline with smaller straps that sit just on the shoulders. The dress is very fitted and has a pencil-style skirt that falls to the ankles with a large slit up the back to the back of the knees. The bottom part of the skirt is decorated with looping soutache handwork in a lovely floral motif. There are large handset rhinestones that decorate the design. At the back of the dress, the neckline V’s down to mid-back. The dress has a hidden metal zipper up the back with a sweet little bow at the top of the zipper. The dress is fully lined in soft rayon with the label attached to the front of the neckline.

The dress has a matching vest that is very boxy in silhouette. The vest has the same lovely soutache detailing with the large handset rhinestones. The vest only fastens with a hook and eye at the neck. The vest is also fully lined in rayon. The vest is missing its labels.

Condition:

The set is overall in wonderful condition with only a little bit of discoloration to note. The vest lining is a little purple in some spots but is not visible when worn. The soutache handwork on the dress is a little more gold/yellow at the hem of the skirt. These flaws are small and do not detract from just how truly stunning this dress is. It has been professionally hand laundered and is ready to wear.
