For more than 30 years, couturier Juanita Sabbadini has made exclusive designs for international clientele in her Italian atelier. The pants and the jacket of this lovely vintage evening suit are black wool crepe, and both are lined in silk. The jacket has a satin bib and collar, and padded shoulders. It closes with a hidden zipper but appears to close with three sets of black rhinestone buckles that hook together. The cigarette pants have a partially elastic waist and black satin suspenders! The suspenders button onto the front and back of the waistband. They have two button holes on all four ends, so the fit can be adjusted. Admittedly, they look less elegant with a tank top than with the beautiful top you will undoubtedly wear (however, with the jacket zipped, a top isn't necessary). As far as we know, all of Sabbadini's designs are special orders, so there are no size labels. Based on the hip measurement of the pants, our sizing tables indicate the suit is closest to a size 8. If you are a size 10, and your hips run a bit small, then the suit should fit you too.

JACKET MEASUREMENTS

- Shoulder width is 16"

- Chest is 40"

- Sleeve length is 22.5"

- Length is 25.5" down center back excluding collar.

PANTS MEASUREMENTS

- Waist is 29" with a little additional stretch

- Hips are 38" at about 8" below waist.

- Rise is 12"

- Inseam is 26" There is enough hem to lengthen pants up to 1.5"

- Outside length is 37" including wasitband.
