This is lovely well cared for edition of Black Beauty by Anna Sewell published as an "Heirloom Edition" by Longmeadow Press in 1986. It's illustrated beautifully by Lucy Kemp-Welch, originally done in the 1920s. This 1986 copy is a 2nd printing, you can tell this from the last number in the line of numbers at the bottom of the copyright pages (see photo).

In very good vintage condition with light signs of wear and age. Coated cover and unused dedication page would make it a great gift.
