Brown Lace Evening Gown$269.99

Size:
small

Description:

This 1940s evening gown really encapsulates the glamour and feel of Old Hollywood with the trim silhouette and heavy shoulder pads so popular during this specific time in fashion. The details on this one are amazing, but the best part is the back lace train! It is stunning in person. The piece features large lovely shoulder pads and an illusion top bodice trimmed in green. The back features 25 buttons covered in lace. The illusion bodice shows the skin above the bust line and the back to the bottom of the buttons. The side closure is a Victory Talon metal zipper dating the gown to right around the end of the war. The lace sleeves each have a small talon zipper along the edge of the cuff for a nipped in long arm look. Below the top of the bodice, the dress is lined in a silvery neutral tone silk. The tag states that this was sold at I. Imagnin & Co. Importers. This company was a fine department store that started in San Francisco. It is a gorgeous example of fine evening wear from the 40s. The lace is rayon. Best for a size extra small to a small.
