Vintage 1960s / 1970s maxi skirt and crop top set. Bright sunny orange batik print on white cotton.
Crop top closes with fabric covered buttons, snaps and ties at the waist. Sleeveless, with a spread collar and darted bust. Top appears meant to be fitted.
Maxi skirt buttons from waist to knee with matching fabric covered buttons and a few snaps. Skirt remains open in front from knee to ankle. Bandless waist appears to be meant to sit lower on the hips. Darted and fitted around the derrière, skirt falls with mild folds to the floor.
I don’t think the skirt is meant to be fitted, but it does seem it would look just as great fitted tightly on some curves.
This could easily work for a 1950s rockabilly / bombshell look.
This does not appear to be the same “Flair” as Flair of Miami. I’ve researched this item and it’s label as much as possible, to no avail. It’s provenance could be anywhere from the 1950s - 1970s. Made in Penang Malaysia.
