This lovely charming set is by Moriyama Pottery designed by Hidekichi Nakamura who started the company in 1911 in Mori-Machi, Japan. It is hand painted and has a wonderful period design I have not seen anywhere else. The style of the design looks 1920s and it is very rare to find the complete set with the lids and tray all in tact.
From my personal collection they are truly little works of art and would add some unique charm to any display.
Both are in good vintage condition, with no chips or cracks. There is some wear and signs of age and the smaller jug has some discolor to the orange band in one place and also along with the tray has some grazing. There is small scratch on the larger pitcher (see photo) and on one the leaves a minor factory flaw mark, that looks to be under the paint.
The larger jug is 7. 5 inches high including the lid by 6 inches with the handle and the smaller is 4. 5 x 4
