WOW! We were so pleased to find this rare piece of lacquerware art! It was made between 1912-1930 with exquisite craftsmanship and detailed work. The wooden and lacquered box is convex and rounded in a beautiful whimsical shell shape. The outside is hand carved and hand painted with extremely intricate scenes of gold fish, scroll work, and geometric shapes that mimic waves. The details are truly breathtaking. The inside is solid black and very spacious for whatever treasures you wish to hold. The underside has it’s original sticker that reads “Made in The People’s Republic of China” along with some Chinese characters.

Condition:
Great antique condition with only a few chips at the rim area. Overall excellent condition!
