Antique Vintage Handwoven Ash Splint Curl Basket with Lid and Handles Farmhouse

This is a very old handwoven Native American basket with lid and handles. It is made of what I believe to be ash splints woven in a curl pattern around the middle and on the lid.
The basket is about 6” from the bottom to top of the lid and 10” wide at its widest part.
I don’t know the basket’s exact origin or age. Based on other similar baskets that I have seen, it may be from a Great Lakes tribe and may have been made in the mid- to late-20th century.
There are several areas where the strips are broken, missing, or frayed. One area on the lid has a hole but it is holding together. It is also discolored in some places but overall I think the color has held up great. A small loop on the center of the lid is also broken. The 2 round handles on either side of the basket are attached with string that looks a little newer, so they might have had to be reattached at some point. It takes some doing to get the lid to sit properly; even then, it doesn’t fasten securely. See pics.
I have more pictures than I was able to post; let me know if you’d like to see them.
