Forest green caplet made of velveteen, grosgrain with embellished beading. Very dark green, almost black. Possibly a mourning cape. Heavy black grosgrain trim with criss cross stand up stitching. Two inner pockets on the inside of the cape. Embellished latticework trim is very unique. Hook and eye closure at bottom of stand up collar. Victorian era 1837-1901

condition: missing and loose beads to embroidery. Some repair work done on inside of collar. Some musty smell although I will be hanging it outside which usually takes care of any smell 🙂
