This is a lovely antique 1890s cotton shirtwaist. The shirt has a high neckline that is trimmed in lace and buttons down the front with shell buttons. It also has the best leg-of-mutton sleeves that have a wonderful puff at the shoulder, for plain cotton shirt sleeves. The cuffs have little lace trim and have two buttons on each cuff. The shirt is decorated with lovely little pintucks. It has a looser fit and hangs straight down from the bust and falls to the top of the hips. There is a lace that decorates the waist, I am not sure if it was meant to be tucked in or not, but it looks great both ways.

Condition:

The shirt is in great condition with the only flaw being a small repair on the sleeve. It is hard to see being on the end of the cuff opening. The shirt is so sweet and has been professionally hand laundered and is ready to wear.
