Took me forever tofigure this item out! This came in a lot of items dating back to Edwardian era. This particular piece is a very light weight cotton with aswiss dot pattern. The pillowcase is an envelope insert with one side beinglonger than the other. I believe the longer side was supposed to be the front side of the pillow but inthiscaseit won't work because of the stain and hole. I would tuck the longer side in andjustturn the pillow around. It's very dainty and pretty. Fabric is sturdy.
