Vintage 1800s to early 1900s French hand painted Limoges enamel pin portrait brooch, beaded-edged with a fine Limoges enamel rendition of a renaissance period man in a plumed hat. The portrait detail is lovely and the embedded foils dramatic. Unmarked copper and/or brass tube hinge and old c-clasp closure. measures 1. 9" x .8". Excellent condition with no cracks. There is expected patina due to its age which gives it personality and many buyers prefer the look. brass or copper cleaner can be used to gently remove the patina.
