This is a lovely Edwardian-era white linen shift. It has a wonderful lace yoke with a lace ruffle that trims the scoop neckline. At the center front, there is a small button placket with 3 buttons. Under the yoke is a fluffy ruffle that is trimmed in lace on the front. The shift has fun and clever sleeves that are sleeveless at the top but are like dress protectors, attaching at the underarm. They help protect anything worn over it and also helps to keep the overall bulk down. The body of the shift is simple and hangs loose till just past the knees. On the right side just under the bust is the original owner's initials written in pen. The hem of the shift has a simple flounce that is trimmed in lace.

Condition:

The shift is in great condition with no flaws to note. It has been professionally hand laundered and is ready to wear.

Size:

A note on antique shifts. They are meant to be quite loose fitting and the most size restrictive areas are the armholes. Please look at that measurement to make sure it will fit.
