This is a lovely antique Edwardian white linen nightgown. The nightgown is simple with a more scoop-like neckline and a yoke of alternating lace and embroidered panels. There is a little lace ruffle that trims the neckline and the gown is gathered under the yoke. The nightgown is a pull-on style with a shell button placket down the left side till the waist. On the placket, there are the original owner's initials in pen on the button side. The nightgown has some of the most wonderful sleeves. They fall to be about ¾ length but are wide bell sleeves with a gorgeous embroidered flounce that hangs and just brushes the wrist on the back end. The body of the nightgown is loose fitting and falls to the ankles where there is a wonderful simple flounce at the hem.

Condition:

The nightgown is in wonderful condition with no flaws to note. It has been professionally hand laundered and is ready to wear.

Size:

A note on antique nightgowns. They are meant to be quite a loose-fitting and the most size restrictive areas are the armholes. Please look at that measurement to make sure it will fit.
