Incredible early 1910's antique Edwardian leather handbag, with tooled nouveau design on the front and embossed letter "K" on the upper back. Perhaps the original owner's monogram. Lacing around purse and single handle is impeccable, as is the hardware and inside of the bag. The exterior is The color is a rich walnut brown. Unlined, the rough side of the leather is an olive green color, with one slip pocket for the mirror and one for the change purse which are included. The locking function of the frame is from Turnloc, a unique turn function with a decorative rocking top finial. The frame also includes stamps on the inside edge; one for the patent and one for the company-Jemco and Oct 5, 1915 - May 15,1917 with July 28, 1918 stamped below. This is a truly impressive piece.

Excellent antique condition. Very usable piece, although care should surly be taken.
