This is a darling Edwardian white linen nightgown. It has a high necked lace yoke that continues all the way down to the bust line and over to the shoulders. The collar is trimmed in a frill of lace that also continues down the front button placket. There is a wonderful cotton lawn? ruffle. The ruffle runs along the bust line and over the shoulders. The sleeves are so wonderful on this gown. They are full sleeves and puff out at the cuffs and at the wrists. The cuffs button and have a wonderful matching lawn ruffle with insertion lace. The body of the nightgown is simple and hangs loose with the button placket running down to the belly button. On the inside of the placket, near the lace, are the original owners initials A. R.G. written in pen. At the hem of the nightgown there is pin tucking and a fun flounce. The nightgown falls to the ankles. The nightgown is so fun and is meant to fit loose, but it also looks wonderful belted to cinch it in at the waist.

The nightgown is in fantastic condition overall with no flaws to note.

Size:

A note on antique nightgowns. They are meant to be quite loose fitting and the most size restrictive areas are the armholes. Please look at that measurement to make sure it will fit.
