early 20th century French linen chemise/night dress. Buttons at the neckline with a glass button and a deep keyhole opening in front. 3/4 length sleeves. Gusseted under arms and sides. So many great hand made details like the lovely red work hand embroidery and crochet webbing at the base of the front opening. Beautiful weighty linen with wonderful texture. Keeps you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. These antique chemises are great worn as night clothes but wonderful as day dresses too!
