This is a wonderful ruffley antique Edwardian white linen nightgown. The nightgown has a higher collar with a little lace ruffle. The neckline is yoked and is made of lovely alternating laces with a shell button placket running down the center of the nightgown with the original owner's initials in pen. There is a large lawn ruffle that runs along the yoke and is trimmed with lace. The nightgown has wonderful sleeves, they are fuller and puff a bit at the wrist. The sleeves at the wrist are fitted and fastens with a shell button. The cuffs are spectacular with the most wonderful ruffled lawn cotton and lace cuffs. The body of the nightgown is simple and loose-fitting. It falls to the ankles with a flounce at the hem with lovely pin tucking about it.

Condition:

The nightgown is in fantastic condition with one small flaw to note. There is a little spot with tiny pinprick holes in the body of the gown. It is hard to see and very small and dose not affect this lovely gown's wearability. It has been professionally hand laundered and is ready to wear.

Size:

A note on antique nightgowns. They are meant to be quite loose fitting and the most size restrictive areas are the armholes. Please look at that measurement to make sure it will fit.
