RARE Antique Edwardian 1900s Shocking Pink Silk Gown!
Features:
- the softest, silkiest, SHOCKING bright fuchsia pink silk fabric
- dozens of matching, fabric-covered decorative buttons and loops, around neckline, down front, and sides
- V neck
- bloused bodice with gathering under bust
- nipped in empire waist, embellished with black beaded lace trim
- long, flowing, draped, layered peplum skirt
- box-pleated trim around hem
- hook and eye closure up front
- inner strap at waist to really cinch and hold in the midsection
- the fabric color is so bright, it's hard for the camera to accurately pick it up!
As-is antique condition. Would be best for repair, study, or display. There are scattered small holes in the skirt. Some wearing away of the threads at shoulders, but is lined in an extra layer of silk which makes it more sturdy and wearable. Wearing away of threads under arms and the threads on a few of the buttons. Some staining on side bottom of skirt. A couple of holes near the neckline, which can be covered if you move the hooks and eyes over. Missing a single button.
