Antique Edwardian Edwardian Purple Striped Men's Cotton Button Up Cufflink Cuffs Paper Color$115.00
This is a wonderful turn of the century cotton men’s shirt. The shirt has a small straight collar that is in plain white cotton with 3 buttonholes to attach a paper or a celluloid collar to it. The shirt is in a just wonderful purple stripe with a little motif in the stripes. It is long-sleeved and is with cuffs that are meant to be folded over and fastened with a cuff link. It buttons down the front with shell buttons and the sides are more open on the side til the top of the hips. The shirt falls to the end of the hips and is longer in the back. It was originally meant to be worn tucked in. The shirt on the collar is marked pre-shrunk and 14.
Condition:
The shirt is overall in wonderful condition with a few small flaws to note. There is one small patch on the front of the shirt that is less than an inch long and between two stripes. There are also repairs on the inside of the folded edge of the cuffs and will not show at all when worn folded. The mends are hard to see and make this a fun wearable piece of history. It has been professionally hand laundered and is ready to wear.
(cuff links not included)
