Victorian Antique Ca. 1860 White Linen Nightgown Hand Sewn$175.00
This is wonderful, I believe ca 1860-1870s, Victorian-era nightgown made of bright white linen. The nightgown is high necked with the yoke of the gown completely covered in lovely hand-sewn floral embroidery with scalloped edges. The rest of the nightgown is simple and hangs straight down to about mid-calf. It has a button placket that runs down the center to just past the waist with 3 buttons. (the buttons are all different) The nightgown has ¾ length sleeves with matching embroidery on the cuffs.
Condition:
The nightgown is in great condition with only one flaw to note. There is a small repair on the front to the left of the placket. It is small and hard to see. The nightgown is still super wearable and looks great with a belt around the waist. It has been professionally hand laundered and is ready to wear.
Size:
A note on antique nightgowns. They are meant to be quite loose fitting and the most size restrictive areas are the armholes. Please look at that measurement to make sure it will fit.
If you have any questions I am happy to help.
