Vintage 1920s or 1930s micromosaic brooch made in Italy. Tiny glass tiles (tesserae) make up this lovely brooch with a flower cluster in the center and festoons surrounding the edge of the octagon shape. Sits inside a tiny chased silver edge. Back appears to be brass with a silver plate. The silver plating is wearing off a bit, but this does not compromise the strength of the piece. Such a beautiful and romantic little brooch!
