The book is Higgin's narrative of his journey to the West Indian islands, a graphic and poetic revelation of the beauties of these favored spots in the Caribbean sea. He demonstrated his love of these places with character drawings, humorous anecdotes, touching stories and descriptions of nature at sea or the shore. He has a deep love for humanity and his gentle humor and geniality through all kinds of situations, makes this a wonderful and lasting read.
