This is a pretty antique Black Forest two tiered jewelry box made in Switzerland in the early 1900s. It includes the original key, mirror and blue velvet interior. Hand carved from wood from the Black Forest in Germany and features a traditional Edelweiss flower on the top. It also has part of the sticker on the base along with a hand written note in German. Part of it reads "To my love.." not sure of the rest but it clearly looks very old.

It is in good vintage condition with definite signs of wear and age, most notably nicks and dings to the wood on the front, one of the sides and top, please see all photos. The interior is in great shape and it is easy to open and maneuver . It does have a winder on the base so it was a music box as well but this is not working now. I imagine the music mechanism is under the bottom inside shelf.
