Antique sheared Beaver skin top hat in leather carry case. 1890's Lamson & Hubbard Boston MA. Good antique condition with to be expected damage to the outer and under rim and inner band and some light areas of wear to the fur. The hat box strap that goes across the top and goes into the lock is broken off on the back side but still displays well and there is a small tear in the satin interior all shown. The inner band of the hat is 21" in circumference. Please see all photos for full description of condition and ask for more as I took many but can only upload 10. How to measure your head for a top hat:
Traditionally top hats are worn higher than most other hats. For the proper look it would ideally sit dead straight around one inch above your ear. The brim should never touch the ear. To find your proper size Snuggly measure with a flex tape around your head 1 inch above your ear. Then compare to those you are looking at online.
