This gorgeous lemon yellow dress from the 1920s features masterful beading that will absolutely blow you away. The level of effort that went into making a dress like this for some lovely flapper lady is very impressive. I love the scalloped edges of the skirt, which give it a sort of flower petal-ish, fairy vibe. It fastens with snaps up the side. The top is lined, but the skirt will need a slip. Overall, it is truly a gorgeous dress.

Condition: AS IS. The amount of beads makes the dress quite heavy -- which may explain its condition. Unfortunately, like many dresses from this era, this one has some structural damage, particularly at the shoulders. At some point in the dress's 100-year history, a valiant effort was made to restore it. Someone installed a yellow cotton lining on the entire bodice, the sewed the chiffon to that, attempting to patch it up as needed. The repairs are unfortunately pretty messy. They are mostly concentrated around the shoulders and armpits, but there are some repairs scattered throughout the rest of the dress as well. There are also some small holes that haven't been repaired. The majority of the beadwork on the skirt is intact, but I noticed a few missing beads here and there and some loose threads. There are rhinestones missing, most noticeably around the neckline. There's some discoloration around the armpits, too. I think this dress is best suited for study or display -- may be very gentle wear, like for a photoshoot. Condition is considered in pricing.
