Edwardian Cotton and Lace Blouse$125.00
Here's your chance to own a truly wearable (with tlc) late Victorian to Edwardian blouse!
This lovely blouse is made of the lightest (semi-opaque) cotton weave fabric. It features a wide Peter Pan style collar, which most likely dates this top to post-1905, when Peter Pan, or, The Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up play was popularized. The 3/4 length sleeves are lightly gathered and feature folded-up cuffs which require cuff link-style closures. The center front of this blouse features a five carved shell button closure, flanked by a series of micro pin pleats and delicately tatted lace. The waistline is double darted in front and single at back, as this would've been worn with a high-waisted skirt. One tiny label at back neck reads '32/14' which leads me to believe it may have been European-made. Overall condition is excellent, and wearable (with tlc) with mild rust dotting at a few areas (only noticeable from very close-up) and a few repairs; one front right dart seam repair, one darn style repair at back left shoulder and one iron-on patch repair under back collar area (I am not responsible for this issue and I would've removed the patch for a proper repair, had I not thought it would damaged the fabric irreparably).
