Fun mid century edition of Andersen's Fairy Tales by Hans Christian Andersen. Part of the Junior Deluxe Series published by Doubleday in the 50s. Wonderful end paper design and embossed covers with cute illustrated spines. All these editions have color plates across from the title page and use mid century graphics and b/w illustrators. In very good condition with some signs of wear and age. Most notably the original owner's name written once in the front and again with her address on the copyright page, also some stains to the top end pages. Please review all photos.
