1990’s American designer Adele Simpson silk & wool cocktail dress in black. From her couture line.

Quirky one shoulder design with hi-lo hem. Black wool jersey (slight stretch) with masses of flounced black silk organza ruffles. Size zipper. Unlined.

No care tags. But wool and silk are usually dry clean or spot clean only.

Excellent vintage condition with little sign of wear. No rips, hole, snags or stains. Some free home.

One side flat pit to pit chest is 16." 15" at waist and 17" at hip. 26" long from armpit to shortest part of hem.

Simpson was a favorite of First Ladies Ladybird Johnson, Pat Nixon and Barbara Bush and the winner of several prestigious design awards. The dress is a little piece of American design history.
