A very nice early edition of A Treasury of American Folklore: Stories, Ballads, and Traditions of the People by B. A. Botkin. A wonderful collection of 500 stories and 100 songs collected from the author's time as national folklore editor for the Federal Writer's Project (1938-39) as well as his work as archivist of folksongs at the Library of Congress. First printed in 1944, this is the 13th printing from 1945.

In good condition overal, the jacket shows more wear. Owners name stamped inside front cover. d shape.
