A beautifully constructed brown velour felt fedora by Carla Faso for Carluci Millinery, this c. late 1990s hat is a very 90s-does-1970s-does-1940s style, with its wide, tilted brim and multi-tiered, uniquely-blocked tall crown. The lowest tier of the crown is trimmed along its top edge with lighter-brown leather cording. 2 more rows of leather cording and iridescent snakeskin form the hatband. The leather cord is also tied into an artful knot at the left side, along with a bow of matching brown felt. The brim is widest at the center front and narrows to the back. The edge of the brim is wired, to shape up, down, or any way in between, as you prefer. The tall crown is fully lined with black rayon taffeta. In mint, unworn condition, the hat has its original hangtag (original price $295!) still attached. This more recent era, circa the 90s-2000s vintage hat is as lovely and well made as any of the many, many fine older vintage hats that I have handled over the last 30 years—truly couture-quality!Crown height: 4.25”Brim width: 3.5” at center front and 2” at center backInner circumference: 21” (crown sits relatively high on the head, as shown)Label: Carla Ann Faso, Carluci Millinery & Fashion Design
