This very handsome herringbone tweed suit is from French designer Louis Feraud. The designer tag states that the suit was made in "West Germany," and it has a fabric tag that was not required by law until 1985, so those definitively date the suit to between 1985 and 1990 (likely at the later end of the range). The jacket has channel quilted lapels and cuffs, two besom pockets, and just a hint of shoulder padding - about what you'd find in a modern, well- tailored suit. It closes at the waist with two buttons that are attached to each other with a 2. 5 inch crocheted string that allows for a comfortable fit at the waist. The skirt has several small open pleats at the waist, a channel quilted waistband, two slash pockets, and a back zipper and walking vent. The 100% wool fabric is a nubby herringbone tweed in numerous shades of taupe, and the brown lining is 100% viscose (or rayon). According to the size label, the suit is a US size 6, UK size 10, and French size 38. Please refer to the measurements for additional guidance regarding size.
