1990's teal pinstriped suit by Iconic designer Karen Alexander. This suit has so many special details. First off the color is spectacular, a shimmering changeable teal taffeta. The raised pin-striping on this suit has been artfully designed to create an extreme hourglass silhouette. The jacket has a sweetheart neckline with pleating at the sides of the neck. The shoulders are strongly padded and the dolman sleeves are short. Princess seaming creates a nipped waist and the full structured peplum push the shape even further. 7 black plastic buttons down the front. The back of the jacket has even more volume at the peplum creating a bit of a fishtail center back. The high waist pencil skirt has curvy seams at the rear that really enhance the shape of the bottom. Small slit at the back of the skirt. Nylon zipper. Both pieces are unlined and opaque.
